Lucy Simmonds
Lucy has been working with Takk & Company Solicitors since 2018 as a Crown Court Case Worker. Over the past 7 years, she has built extensive experience supporting clients through some of the most serious and complex criminal matters in the Crown Court.
She works closely with Mr Takk and has developed a particular specialism in drug-related cases. This includes a thorough understanding of cell site and mobile phone evidence ; combined with how it is used by both the defence and prosecution in Crown Court proceedings.
Her role involves managing cases from the earliest stages through to trial and sentencing. She has strong working knowledge of the criminal justice system, court procedures, and CPS disclosure. A key part of her work is ensuring clients have access to justice through Legal Aid applications, including preparing complex hardship applications where clients face financial difficulty.
Lucy also specialises in Crown Court billing. She is experienced in preparing complex bills involving large volumes of evidence, ensuring that claims are accurate and comply with legal aid regulations.
Throughout her time at Takk & Company, she has been committed to supporting clients during difficult times and ensuring their cases are managed professionally and efficiently. She takes pride in attention to detail, her knowledge of serious criminal casework and her contribution to the legal profession in the UK.
